Board of Selectmen

The Board of Selectmen is a five-member elected board that serves as the town's executive branch of government. The board is responsible for general policy oversight of all town functions with particular attention to the town's fiscal and personnel direction. The Board of Selectmen also issues numerous licenses. The Board's authority includes appointment of the town administrator, police chief and officers, fire chief, as well as many boards and committees.

The Board generally meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month and weekly during the budget process. Please contact us if there is an issue of concern that may be appropriate for the Board's meeting agenda. The agenda deadline is the Wednesday preceding the next scheduled Selectmen's meeting.
